Terms of Service

1. Who may use this site

You must be at least 18 years old to use AI Chat Roleplay. The site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use it. If we learn that an account or session belongs to a minor, we will terminate access. You must also have the legal capacity to enter into these terms in your country, and using the site must be lawful where you are.

2. What the service is

AI Chat Roleplay is an entertainment and language-practice service. It lets you hold voice and text conversations with fictional AI characters. Voice and text roleplay runs in your browser today. Live AI video calling is in development.

Every character is fictional. No character represents, depicts or is derived from any real person, living or dead. Character responses are generated or scripted and may be wrong, inconsistent or unhelpful. Nothing a character says is professional advice.

3. Not professional advice

The characters are not doctors, therapists, counsellors, lawyers, financial advisers or teachers with any accreditation. Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and it must never be used in place of care from a qualified professional or to obtain help in an emergency. If you are in crisis, contact the emergency services or a crisis line. Some are listed on our AI companion page.

4. Things you must not do

The following are prohibited without exception:

• Any sexual, suggestive or romantic content involving minors, or any attempt to make a character behave as a minor. This is reported and permanently banned.
• Sexually explicit roleplay of any kind. This is not an adult-content service.
• Attempting to make a character impersonate a real, identifiable person, including celebrities, public figures, streamers and private individuals.
• Uploading, describing or requesting the likeness, voice or biometric data of a real person for cloning, face swapping or any synthetic depiction.
• Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, terrorism, human trafficking, hate against a protected group, or serious violence.
• Using the service to harass, defraud, or deceive anyone, or to generate material presented as real when it is synthetic.
• Automated scraping, reverse engineering, circumventing safety filters, or probing the service for vulnerabilities without written permission.

We may block, suspend or permanently remove access for any of the above, without notice and at our discretion.

5. AI transparency

Every conversation on this site is with software, not a person. Sessions carry a visible “AI-generated character” label for as long as they are open, and we do not remove or hide that label under any circumstances. See the Safety & AI Policy for details.

6. Your content

In the current preview, conversations run entirely in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored by us. You keep whatever rights you have in what you write. You are responsible for what you send, and you must not send anything you do not have the right to send, or anything covered by section 4.

7. Our content

The characters, artwork, written dialogue, copy, design and code of this site belong to us or our licensors. You may use the service for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not resell, redistribute, or present the service or its characters as your own.

8. Price and payment

The service is currently free and no payment method is collected. If paid plans are introduced later, prices, billing intervals and cancellation terms will be shown clearly before any charge, and our Refund Policy will apply.

9. Availability and changes

This is a preview. Features may change, break or be withdrawn, and we may modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

10. Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
